Public entry includes 10 hours of tee time — five 2-hour sessions, yours to use however you like. Play your four rounds, practise the course first, or bring someone with you.
Your Indoor Number
Bring a GHIN index or your best estimate. The Back Nine conversion system turns it into an indoor number and sets your tee. Try it:
Index sets your number. Driver distance sets your tee.
A screen plays easier than grass, and it helps a mid-handicap more than a scratch player — so a 15 plays to about a 10. Tees are set by how far you carry a driver, not by handicap, so everyone is hitting similar clubs into greens. Your number is set when you enter and held for the whole cup. This is an estimate calibrated against the Back Nine Bridge, which is free and open to anyone — your official cup number comes from there.
How To Play
Join at your local Back Nine
Find the Rainmaker Cup under events at your closest location — Carlsbad, San Marcos, Escondido or Poway.
Pay and register
$250 with five 2-hour tee times, or $50 if you are already a member. Your spot is held once it is paid.
Check your email
You will get a confirmation with the event details, your Full Swing code, and a link to book tee times. Members book through their normal flow.
Load it on the sim
At the bay, open FSCOMPETE and enter the code from your email. The week's course and settings load themselves.
Play, pause, come back
You can end a round and pick it up where you left off at any point. A new course drops every Monday; all scores in by November 22.

Rules
The golf
- Individual stroke play, four rounds, scored gross and net.
- One scored round per course. Practice it as often as you like first.
- Three mulligans a round. Immediately, same spot, tee shots and approaches only, never a putt.
- Ten-foot gimmes. Inside ten feet is good, which keeps a round near an hour.
- Max score is net double bogey. Pick it up and move on.
- Ties go to the lower Torrey South score.
Handicaps
- Bring a GHIN index, or your best estimate. Either works.
- It is converted to an indoor number by the Back Nine conversion system. Your number is fixed when you enter and held for the whole cup.
- Your tee comes off your driver carry:
- Under 200 yds — Red
200 to 225 — White
225 to 250 — Blue
250 to 275 — Black
275+ — Championship - Pick honestly — playing a tee you cannot reach is slower and no more fun. Yardages vary by course.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the prize pool?
Prizes are confirmed once registration closes, because the pool is a share of total entries. Announcements go out weekly through the cup, so you will see it grow.
What if I miss a round?
Catch up any time. A course drops each Monday but nothing expires early — every round just has to be posted by November 22.
I got an error during my round.
It happens on a simulator. You get three mulligans a round, and part of what they are for is misreads and the occasional bad shot tracking. Use them sparingly.
Can I practise the course first?
Yes, as often as you like. Only the round you post in FSCOMPETE counts.

Every player from all four rooms on one board, gross and net, updated every Monday with the new course.
Weekly payouts are posted here too — low gross and low net, every Monday.
